본 연구는 한국 청년세대의 노동시장 성과에 미치는 주요 요인을 실증적으로 분석하고, 수도권과 비수도권 대학교 졸업자 간의 차이를 비교하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국고용정보원이 실시하는 대졸자직업이동경로조사(Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey: GOMS) 데이터를 활용하여 청년층의 취업성과를 고용형태, 기업체 규모, 임금수준 세 가지로 구분하고, 인구사회학적 특성(성별, 학력), 인적자원 특성(어학시험 성적, 자격증 보유 여부, 대외활동 참여 여부), 부모의 사회경제적 배경과 같은 독립변수들의 영향을 분석하였다. 또한, 수도권과 비수도권 대학교 졸업자 간의 성과 차이를 파악하기 위해 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하여 가설을 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 학위 유형, 대학 소재지, 부모 학력은 고용형태에 유의한 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 또한, 성별, 학위 유형, 대학 소재지, 어학시험 성적은 기업체 규모에 영향을 미쳤으며, 성별, 학위 유형, 대학 소재지, 어학시험 성적은 임금수준에 유의미한 차이를 보여 개인적 특성과 가정환경이 청년층의 노동시장 성과에 중요한 변수임을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 청년층 노동시장 성과의 요인을 다각도로 분석함으로써 지역별 고용정책 및 청년층의 경력개발을 위한 실질적 시사점을 제공한다.This study aims to empirically analyze the main factors affecting the labor market outcomes of young adults in Korea and compare the differences between graduates from universities in the metropolitan areas and non-metropolitan areas. Using data from the Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey (GOMS) conducted by the Korea Employment Information Agency, we categorize young adults' labor market outcomes into three dimensions: employment type, firm size, and wage level, and analyze the impact of independent variables such as demographic characteristics (gender, education), occupational specifications (language test scores, certifications, and participation in external activities), and family environment (parental socioeconomic background). We also test our hypotheses using logistic regression to identify differences in outcomes between graduates from metropolitan and non-metropolitan universities. The results of the analysis showed that degree type, university location, and parental education had a significant effect on employment type; gender, degree type, university location, and language test scores had an effect on firm size; and gender, degree type, university location, and language test scores had a significant effect on wage level, confirming that personal characteristics and family environment are important variables in the labor market outcomes of young adults. This study provides practical implications for regional employment policies and career development of young adults by analyzing various factors of young adults' labor market performance.
